Priam and Hecuba

Summary: This essay is about King Priam and his wife and their children.
Love and power rule the minds of great rulers. Priam was considered a great ruler and wonderful husband to Hecuba. Hecuba bore fifty of Priam's children. Priam was also famous for his role in the Trojan war. Many of Hecuba's sons died in the war and so did Priam. War and love is what Hecuba and Priam were all about.

Priam was the king of Troy, but he wasn't always royalty. Priam's father was the son of King Laomedon, in some myths. In others, he was the sone on the river god Stymon. After Priam's brothers and sisters were all slaughtered by Hercales, he inherited the throne of Troy, fixed it up (because Hercales ruined it) and made it an empire.
