The Bubonic Plague was one of the most destructive events in the entire history of the world. The total death toll came to anywhere from 25 to 50 percent before the disease ran its course. The plague had many other affects on each place it touched, however. Since the plague resulted in large percentages of fatalities, the political structure, economy, religion, and general lifestyle of the populations that became victim to the horrors of the plague all saw many changes.
