The Marine Mammal I decided to study was the Tursiops truncates also known as the Bottlenose Dolphin, or the Gray Porpoise, Black Porpoise, Atlantic or Pacific bottlenose Dolphin and Cowfish. The bottlenose has a length from the range of 6 ¼ feet to about 13 feet. Its weight is in the range from 198 lbs to about 1,4335 lbs. The bottlenose travel in a group of other dolphins called a pod. The pod size is a range of 2-25 in the deep ocean and 2-10 for dolphins that live in the coast. The bottlenose dolphin is known to be one of the most intelligent dolphins of all. The bottlenose dolphin is much larger in size than the other type of dolphins.
