During the 1950's, the viewing of television sky-rocketed to numbers that had never been reached before. People had been bringing television into their homes and watching them of an average number of hours than they would be working at their jobs and schools. This minute but very significant detail was a goldmine for advertisers all across the United States. Times were changing as the economy was trying to rebuild itself after the war under the aid of one Harry S. Truman.
