Have you ever wonder what it would be like to charm your way out of trouble, to have to tell your parents that you skipped your exam and you are dropping out of University? The first short story, "Brother Dear", written by Bernice Friesen, is a story about a 16 year old girl, her older brother, and her family. When Sharlene (16 year old girl) grows up she doesn't want to go to University like her father wants, she wants to go and travel, but she doesn't have the courage to tell him. She doesn't think she will ever have the courage until her brother comes home, and tells her father that he is dropping out of school.
