Why I Write Letters
Summary: This personal essay is about why I perfer writing letters to writing e-mails.
"You've got mail!" As I go online on MSN messenger, a message pops up at the bottom of the screen. Surprised and delighted, I move the cursor swiftly to the "read message" and double-click it. Waiting for Explorer to show the mailbox, I start wondering, "Who could it be? My best friend in Hong Kong? She's busy studying for her GCSE. Dad? He sends me mail although seldom." Then disappointingly, I realize the mail is from Elizabeth - `Fwd: Check this out!." Taking a deep sigh, I delete the message without hesitation, and the message moves into the trashcan, becoming the 49th junk mail.
