Summary: Essay on the population control of the country of China.
- Confucianism was not concerned as much with salvation and religious philosophy but with worldly concerns, such as how to run a government and how to live you life. Confucius taught people to accept their place in society and told them about 5 major relationships: father to son, elder brother to younger brother, husband to wife, ruler to subject, friend to friend. Confucius believed that none of these relationships were equal except friendship. Also he taught that everyone had duties and responsibilities. The rich and upper class should be nice and set an example to the lower class and in return the lower class will show respect and loyalty to the upper class. A woman's role in the Confucius philosophy was to keep the house in order and promote harmony. Confucius had one duty that stood out from all others. That was filial piety.
