Summary: This is about how the paranoid Chinese Government supresses individual rights in Tibet and China.
The Chinese government will stop at nothing to keep the flow of information at their disposal. For example, the Chinese authorities attempted to gain control of the Internet. At the end of 1999 the Chinese effectively banned Web Operators form linking to foreign news sites, such as BBC and CNN. By March of 2000, they effectively stopped China-based websites from reporting to "Independent News Organizations." The Chinese are using Internet policing programs (Which are designed to remove pornography) to remove Internet posting the Government deemed objectionable. The Chinese Government has become paranoid of any criticism. They perceive any criticism as an attempt to overthrow Communist rule in China. The Communist Government also suppressed Independent Political activities because they do not want any opposition to their party at all.
