Euthaniasia: An Example of Deviance
Summary: Essay explains how euthanasia is an example of deviance.
One example of deviance that I would like to write about is euthanasia. The Webster's dictionary defines it as the act or practice of killing a suffering individual painlessly for reasons considered merciful. But, why do some accept certain kinds of killings, but not others. To tie in with another assignment, the death penalty was created to punish criminals who have created such unspeakable crimes. For some in society, the death penalty is acceptable and to others it is not. Euthanasia is as much of a murder as carrying out a death sentence. Now, in animal control centers run by some cities, it may be the norm to utilize euthanasia as a means of lessening the rapidly increasing animal population and also a painless way out for a suffering creature. On the other hand when dealing with humans there is certainly an uproar when this subject is approached...
