Summary: Essay on regional disparity and national unity in Canada.
Canada is a huge country with a fairly small population, and even though we cannot help out all the people in the world, we can certainly try to help those in need close by, or in other words, Canadians. I believe that the federal government should continue to implement programs to reduce economic disparity among regions. The inequality among the people and the regions they live in depends on many factors, which are distinct from one another.
There are many indicators of regional disparity, such as wages, unemployment and standard of living, which differ from region to region, depending on its location, natural resources, physical features and other factors. Some regions appear to have low unemployment rates, successful technological and industrial developments, good climate, and efficient transportation, which all contribute to the overall state of the region we can refer to as being "well-off."
