What is it and what controls it.

 Urban climate is any set of climate conditions that prevails on a large metropolitan area and differs from the climate of its rural surroundings (Encyclopedia Britannica).

 Urban climate can be told apart from country or rural areas by air temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, and the amount of precipitation.

 Urban climate is mostly controlled by natural factors such as; surface material and air pollution and anthropogenic heat.
