* Why are there so many Monarch Butterflies now"
There are a lot of Monarch butterflies now because, they are migrating to Mexico. They migrate from August - October. What is really cool about this is the fact that Monarch butterflies are so smart that they can migrate just like a bird!
* What is their life cycle"
1st, the Monarch butterfly starts out as an egg. The eggs are usually located on a milkweed leaf. The egg hatches between 3 and 5 days.
2nd, the egg hatches into a larva, which is a caterpillar. When it is about 2 cm long, it finds a branch to it can turn into a pupa.
3rd, the larva makes a chrysalis, and turns into a pupa. It makes the chrysalis by spinning silk from its spinneret and connects its butt to a branch. It turns upside-down and molts. The skin hardens and...
