Summary: Essay briefly discusses the chernobyl accident.

When the world got news about the Chernobyl accident it became the largest technological disasters of all time. To this day there is still much debate over what actually happened on that day. One thing is for sure that this disaster fits into the typical luck of Russia.

When the accident accrued 35 men were killed instantly. The total number of deaths associated with the accident is estimated to be around 520. There are many doctors that will say that number should be 5X that amount. The long lasting effects of radiation have caused major problems for the people who lived in the small city in the Ukraine. 42,000 people who lived there when the accident accrued had to be evacuated. Many of them getting sick years after the accident. The symptoms the sick had could all be related to an over exposer of radiation.
