Summary: Essay analyzes the economic history of the U.S. It compares the costs of World War II, the Vietnam War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (the 2003-2004 war).
The economic cost of waging war for the United States have been extremely large, and not just damaging to the government, but the whole country. The stock market is greatly damaged by waging war. World War II, the Vietnam War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom have caused large damage to the economy. World War II cause the most damage to the government, while it caused a boom in businesses making products for the war, but consumer businesses essentially shut down.

World War II was started in 1939 and lasted until 1945. It started on September 1st, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland, and then things escalated from their. The USA became involved on December 7th 1941 when Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, was attacked and Japan declared war on the USA [the following day Allies (excluding soviets) declared war on Japan].
