Have you ever played a full game of chess? What about checkers? These two challenging games are recognized as some of the oldest and greatest skill games in the world. "How could you define and contrast these games"" a person would ask. According to Webster's Dictionary, you'll probably find chess as any of several weedy grasses or checkers as employees who checks out purchases in a self- service store. However, in my mind and in some others, chess and checkers are two challenging and brain twisting games that incite our enthusiasm to play. These two board games are very diverse and distinct in several ways. Some people might say that they are similar or almost the same, but they are completely different. From the rules and objectives, to their history and origins ----- chess and checkers will always be considered opposites.
