Helen Keller by Dennis Wepman is a biography on the life of a blind and deaf women, Helen Keller. Hellen, although not born deaf or blind, when she was just 19 months in February of 1882. She lost her sight and hearing due to an illness. Even with her handicaps she never felt sorry for herself, but just worked harder. Helen was the type of person who would never settle with what she learned but instead keep on wanting to learn more and more.
Helen learned to communicate and developed an unclear speech. She even learned to write with specially designed paper. She learned all of this from her teacher, Anne Sullivan, who started teaching her at age 7. When Sullivan first met Helen she was a spoiled unmannered little brat.
