Yes, while both being healthy and nutritious, colorful and juicy, and in the category of fruit, blueberries and strawberries seem to be very similar. However, they are not. These fruits have very different meanings. The Merriam-Webster online dictionary says that a strawberry "is the juicy, edible, usually red fruit of any of several low-growing temperate herbs of the rose family that is technically an enlarged pulpy receptacle bearing numerous achenes." On the other hand a blueberry is "the edible blue or blackish berry of any of several plants (genus Vaccinium) of the heath family."

A strawberry is luscious. It is a fruit that is considered a delicate dessert. Cover a strawberry in whipped cream and top it off with chocolate and it makes for a prize winning taste that your mouth will never forget.
