On December 18, 1947 in Cincinnati Ohio Steven Speilberg was born into a Jewish family. His father, Arnold Speilberg was an electrical engineer and a computer expert. His mother, Leah (Posner) Speilberg was a former concert pianist. Steven Speilberg was the oldest of four children. The family moved numerous times because of Arnold Speilberg's many jobs. The family moved from Ohio to Haddonfield, New Jersey to the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona because Arnold Speilberg accepted executive level positions with many electronic firms.
