My aim was to write a newspaper article for a broad sheet newspaper like `The Guardian.' I wanted to look at all aspects of Euthanasia both positive and negative. I have a keen interest in current affairs and over the last few years there has been a lot of controversy over whether Euthanasia should be permitted in the United Kingdom. The number of requests for Euthanasia to be permitted has increased over the last ten years and so I felt that this was an appropriate piece for me to write an article on.

My article was targeted towards readers of a broadsheet newspaper and therefore towards adults of all ages and of a relatively high level of education. I also feel that this article would appeal to readers with an interest in current affairs and also those within the medical profession, as euthanasia is a controversial subject...
