"Secret Window" is by far one of the best horror movies I have seen recently. You will not find any lame special effects, ridiculous dialogue, or just about anything else you are sure to find in a normal horror film. In this movie you will find something very rare: originality.
It comes from the story "Secret Windows, Secret Gardens" from Stephen King's book Four Past Midnight, about Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp), a writer who has just split up with his wife and gets accused by another man, John Shooter (John Turturro), of stealing his story and changing the ending.
