Throughout the 20th century there have been many men and women that have done good deeds to help the world become a better place. Mahatma Gandhi, the great leader of India, has helped his country in many different ways, especially through non-violent actions, which contributed to India's path to independence. Additionally Gandhi's words and actions followed throughout the world and especially to Martin Luther King Jr., who used the same tactics to destroy segregation throughout America. Without doubt, these two men have done well for their country and have influenced many people today. Through their non-violent actions, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. have developed a strategy which gave their people and their country the freedom and independence they deserve.
