Everyone wants happiness. Everyone wishes for happiness. But how far people would go to get joy is a different story. In Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, people no longer find happiness on their own but instead, use the fictional drug soma to endure in fantasies and pleasure and to mask the injustices in their life. This is similar to the widespread use of Prozac, which does not cure depression, it simply masks it. People do everything they can to achieve happiness, even if it means avoiding truth and reality.
