Summary: Presents a brief literary analysis about "A Passage to India" by E.M. Forster.
A Passage to India is a popular novel, written by E.M. Forster and published in 1952. It is based on agreements and disagreements, and beliefs and prejudices that can connect and divide people. British newcomers, Adela Quested and Mrs. Moore arrive to visit the "real India," but instead receive much more than they had intended. A film version of the story was released in 1984, following the book's story line very loyally. However, certain scenes of the movie were depicted differently in order to suit a more visual audience, while in the process, the effect of getting into the character's minds become harder to achieve. Certain scenes in the book were substituted in the movie to make the scene more suitable, and to elaborate on several themes to make the story seem equally real to the book.
