Categorizing of Questions
Summary: This essay explores the task of categorizing of questions.
In our T.O.K. book we have learned that there are three main categories for questions to fit into. The first category states that questions have one correct answer, the second category states that questions have many possible answers but require justification and reasoned judgments, and the third is that some questions have no correct answer but depend totally on the person answering the question.
I believe that the question "is it wrong to kill" fits best into the second category. Although some people would say there is no possible justification for killing another creature, most people would agree that it is acceptable to kill something if you have good reason.
There are good, justifiable reasons as well as poor, unethical reasons to kill. An act of inexcusable killing would be killing for pleasure, for its inherent value or for fame. Most of these people would be...
