Sir Isaac Newton was born in the manor house of Loolsthorpe. Newton was born on Christmas day according to the calendar used at the time being. However by using the correct calendar he was actually born on January 4, 1643. He never met his father having died in October 1642. He died unfortunately three months before his son Isaac Newton was born. On the death of his stepfather, Newton lived in an extended family of his mother, grandmother, a half-brother, and two half-sisters.
Isaac Newton entered Trinity Collage Cambridge on the date of June 5, 1661. Even though his mother was well off financially speaking, he became a sizar. A sizar at Cambridge was a student who earned an allowance for expenses by acting as a servant to other students.
