New Graduated Licensing Program Laws in British Columbia
"Sweet sixteen." The most important day of any teenagers life. The sixteenth birthday marks the day when a teenager gains their parent's trust and as well, gains their own independent "freedom." When one turns sixteen, they become eligible to obtain their drivers license. Once an adolescent can drive, he/she are also given an endless amount of possibilities. This "freedom" gives teens many options on what they want to do and when they want to do it. Although, these options may be both good or bad, how can authorities prevent teenagers from choosing the wrong ones? In early October of 2003, a new driving law for teenage drivers was instated. This law is beyond unfair and is extremely superfluous, additionally, it should be withdrawn.
