Most physical journeys can be separated into three stages: the expectation (though in some cases, like when the journey is involuntary or unexpected there may be none), the physical journey, and the consequences as a result of the changes effected by the physical journey on the traveller. Physical journeys involve different types of obstacles, which in many cases challenge travellers in their values and beliefs.
