The novel, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the statement, "Love of money is the root of all evil." have a strong relationship with each other. This statement is basically saying that money is not the problem in society; it's the love of it that causes conflicts in the real world. It's also saying that too much money can go from being a man's dream to a man's downfall. In this novel there are few characters that have a great deal of riches, but at the same time they have a sort of addiction to it.
