The book I chose for my report is Anne of Green Gables. The main characters are Anne, Marilla, and Matthew. Anne is an 11-year old orphan girl with red hair and freckles that Marilla and Matthew got from an assylum by accident. An assylum is an orphanage. They had wanted to get a boy to help Matthew on the farm but since they did not want to make the trip themselves, they sent for one. By mistake Anne was sent over instead.
