Roman Catholicism is one of the most popular religions in the entire world. Many cultures celebrate the religion. It is also true that some cultures mix the Roman Catholic religion with other religions. Roman Catholicism evolved from Christianity, and has many of the same principles of it. Roman Catholicism has many practices, including the seven sacraments, and is strong through their convictions.
a. Where did this religion originate"
Roman Catholicism first started in Rome. In July 64 A.D., a fire started in Rome and Nero started blaming Christians for doing this, and he started murdering them in the Vatican gardens. This persecution led to Christians meeting behind closed doors, and because of these meetings superstition plagued the minds of many people, and bitterness came into the minds of many non-believers. Because of this, some Christians were willing to compromise their beliefs (Falling Away, Beginning).
