American Girl
Summary: Summarizes and reviews the story, All American Girl, by Meg Cabot. Describes why it is an enjoyable read.
This book was really interesting if I do say so. Judging from the title I didn't think it was going to be the story that I have read. The main character in this story was Samantha Madison. She's your normal average teen growing up in Washington D.C who basically only has one friend. She has frizzy red hair and she's a bit of a punk rocker. She has lived in the shadows of her older and younger sister for a long time. Her older sister is pretty, popular, and for the most part, perfect. Her younger sister is basically a genius and goes to a special school for the gifted called Horizons. She learns to express herself when she begins to take art lessons. She meets a cute, funny guy named David while she's in art class. David secretly likes her, but she just doesn't realize it yet. Okay here's the twist. After being humiliated in art class she skipped the next class to go to a movie store and a cookie store. While she's waiting for her ride, the President, yes I said it, the President, drives up and goes into the nearby cookie store. Then all of a sudden, the man that she's standing next to looks like he's going to pull a gun on the President! So reacting quickly Samantha jumped on him, saving the day. She's whisked into a world of fame, with dinner at the White House, and celebrity treatment. Later She finds out that David is the President's son. How will she feel about him? What will become of her? Find out! Read All American Girl.
