Night, A Summary and Analysis
Summary: Discusses the semi-autobiographical tale, Night, by Ellie Eisel. Describes the story's plot. Explores the lives of Jews living in concentration camps during World War II.
Imagine while you are sleeping being removed from your home to a ghetto, where three families lived. After that directly transported to a concentration camp. First in the book, NIGHT till Hitler came to power. Furthermore, Jews were taken in ghettos and directly moved into camps. Finally, the Jews were transported on train to various concentration camps. The various people consisted of homosexuals, Jews, and gypsies; attempting to make the "perfect" race. The holocaust has finally come into play.
First, in the book, NIGHT Jews started off living normal lives. At first, Jews were allowed to walk the streets without being criticized and patronized. Also, Jews were allowed to shop in normal stores than getting food from the black market and also eat at the restaurants. The Jews would work with the other Germans and the other people. They lived in communities with other people besides the Jews...
