Social Darwinism is a theory based on Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection. Charles Darwin was an English biologist who studied animals and plants and how they had evolved. After lots of research he came up with the theory of Natural Selection. In his theory of Natural Selection he said that members of the species have to compete for limited resources and for survival, and that each organism has different traits some are useful for survival, other are not and he also said that organism with useful traits are the fittest and are able to survive whereas the others die off. Nature selects different traits at different times. This theory of natural selection was applied to sociology by the imperialist powers and other European people.
