World War II (1939-1945) was very possibly the most intense war in all of history. This war killed more people (both in the military and civilians), disrupted more lives, and was a battle of more territory, than any war before. World War II dealt with major issues of racism and anti-Semitism, and had severe long term effects. The allies of Britain, Canada, and later the United States, were to take back their land of Europe that had been conquered by Germany, Japan and Italy. This was to be done in battles, on land, in the air, and in the water, and needed great amounts of support from any allied country possible.
