The main character of the book "The curious incident of the dog at night-time" is a fifteen-year-old, autistic boy Christopher Boone. He lives with his father in the house Nr. 36 on the Randolph Street.

From the first pages of the book we understand that Christopher is different from other teenagers. Instead of taking part in the activities that most teenagers are interested, he plays with his little rat Toby and walks down the street in the middle of the night when all the normal people are asleep.

Christopher has a different view of the world. He has a very mathematical brain structure.
