Leadership Training
Summary: Describes the experience of attending a workshop sponsored by Children International - Legazpi in Don Bosco Agro- Mechanical Technology Center in Banquerohan, Legazpi City last October 29-31, 2004 to undergo a state-of-the-art Leadership Curriculum conducted by three certified trainers of the curriculum.
Legazpi City - Twenty enthusiastic young leaders of Children International - Legazpi converged in Don Bosco Agro- Mechanical Technology Center in Banquerohan, Legazpi City last October 29-31, 2004 to undergo a state-of-the-art Leadership Curriculum conducted by three certified trainers of the curriculum.
The Leadership Curriculum is widely known as the Points of Light Youth Leadership Institute or PYLI. The said curriculum was brought to the Philippines by three Legazpeños who attended the 2nd International Youth Conference (IYC) in Kansas City, Missouri USA last June 2004. After completing the modern leadership curriculum in the United States, Joey P. Echaluce, Rona A. Diaz and Bernardo A. Altavano Jr. were awarded their individual credentials as Certified Trainers of PYLI. Along with the three who conducted the training was Ma. Nerissa Boñon who acted as a facilitator and moderator. She was also a delegate to the previous IYC last June 2002.
