With the start of Stalin's reign began an epoch of great industrial prosperity and increased agricultural system productivity. According to Stalin's first Five Year Plan in 1928-1923, the Soviet Union was to increase industry by surpassing all countries in the productions such as, the mining of oil, coal, steel and iron ores. In additions, Stalin planned to increase agricultural output by making efficient use of machinery in big and small farms.
