Divorce and Its Effects

A single parent family consists of one parent, who could be a father or a mother and his or her children. These children are deprived from living with two parents rather than one . While, a divorced family consists of two parents who split from each other and one of them gains the custody of the children . Sometimes the non-residential parent gets to see his or her children . For instance, M.M. quotes "In Judging
Amy, a divorced woman (a judge) and her daughter live with her mother ( a social Worker) ...In The Practice an unmarried woman ( a lawyer ) chooses to have a child outside of marriage and goes to court to prevent the biological father from sharing custody of the child."
