Slavery of man, suffering of discrimination and the fight for freedom are events that have taken place through the history of the world. Though it has happened in the past, we as educated people know about these events through one way, reading. Reading is an essential building block for every successful person in the world. From the age of 5, we have begun to learn the value of the letters in the alphabet. Now we use our knowledge that we gained from reading to function as a society. From teaching moral lessons to technological advances, reading is what has allowed us to accomplish our goals. Yet, reading is not an easy ideal to understand. A source that has already learned the significance of reading must pass on it's knowledge onto us. My family is that source.
