`Romeo and Juliet' was originally written by William Shakespeare. The play began as a poem, written by Arthur Brook called `The Tragicall History of Romeous and Juliet.' The poem itself is a translation of a popular prose fiction by Bandello (Published 1554).
The basic plot of the play is two feuding families, two offspring, one from each family falls in love with the other and they get married. As their love is prohibited, they bring forward their deaths. A love so strong it brought about centuries of hostility to an end and amity became anon. This particular version was released in 1996, just before Leonardo DiCaprio played his male romantic leading part in Titanic. This play was directed by Baz Luhrmann.
