Causes of World War II
However, the cause of ww2 is more complex and it has multiple causes. "The beginnings of World War II were played like a chess game" (Fielding, 164).
Japan was very hostile in Asia and wanted to expand its empire by invading China and Australia and South Pacific Islands. In Italy Mussolini continued to evolve his idea of the new "Roman Empire." Some experts believe that the war actually started when Mussolini attacked Ethiopia.
But in fact there are 3 main causes of World War II:
a) Treaty of Versailles
b) Failure of the policy of appeasement,
c) The Great Depression, territorial expansion.
