What Is the Anzac Legend?

The ANZAC legend is a representation of the Australians in war, the way in which the soldiers thought fought and wrote of their experiences .Although be may never be sure whether the stories are completely true we do know what the Australian spirit might feel like. It's all the qualities which Australians have seen when they experience war. Things like endurance, courage, self-reliance, ingenuity, good-humor and mate ship all adds to the meaning to ANZAC.
It was during World War One at Gallipoli when Australia really came together, became proud as a nation and then realised what being Australian really felt like. It was a time when the rest of the world recognised and realised that Australia was capable of taking part in world events. The Gallipoli campaign showed the world how Australians see their national identity.
