Euthanasia

Should people who are terminally ill or handicapped for life, have the choice to end their lives? Or should they be forced to continue living even though they are suffering? Many people have different opinions on whether a person should be able to choose to die or be forced to proceed in life. Two people who pursue the manner with the same opinion, but use different approaches are Earnest van den Haag and Sidney Hook. Van den Haag presents his argument in his essay, "Make Mine Hemlock," and Hook states his case in "In Defense of Voluntary Euthanasia." Both men agree that assisted suicide should be an option for patients who may no longer be able to live happily.
