Imagine walking down the hall of a public school with boys swarming through the halls, sitting in a classroom with a boy at every desk, or eating lunch at the cafeteria with only your boyfriends. Although this seems like a far-off concept, single-sex schools is an issue being debated today. The Bush administration is trying to test out single-sex public schools and single-sex classes within a coeducational school. They announced that they wanted to ease the legal restrictions and make it easier to establish single-sex schools. Although there are some that disagree, most people agree that single-sex schools provide the students with a more effective education. They believe it has a beneficial effect on both girls and boys.
