Hernando Cortes was an incredible Spanish Conquistador who conquered the Mexicans Aztecs with only 508 men, and the Aztecs had over one million. It is very amazing to see the distance he had gone to achieve wealth and personal gain. In just three short years, he conquered the whole Aztec empire which took centuries to build.

Hernando Cortes was born in Medellin, Spain in the year 1485. He was married to Catalina Xuares, who gave him no sons or daughters. After that, he married Dona Juana de Zuniga, who had one son and three daughters.

Hernando's parents, Martin Cortes and Catalina Altamirano sent Hernando to law school at Salamanca when he was fourteen.
