In November of 1620, a settlement started of Englishmen that escaped England. Their reasons were mainly because the king was controlling them too much. They journeyed here to start a new life and live life they wanted it, without being controlled. Even though the people moved to North America, England still controlled them. The following events are the things that lead up to the war between England and the Colonies.
After the French and Indian War ended in 1763, England was very annoyed with the colonies for disagreeing with the Indians. Because of this, England made a proclamation. The Proclamation of 1763 stated that the colonies could not expand past the Appalachian mountains. This reassured England that the colonists would not cause any more problems, and cost them any more money.
