Discrimination is an atrocious gesture that occurs worldwide. What is discrimination? According to Merraim Webster's Dictionary discrimination is "the process by which two stimuli differing in some aspect are responded to differently; the act of practice, or an instance of discriminating categorically rather than individually."Two types of discrimination are by social class and by race. I was discriminated against categorically by race and social class when a peer tried to humiliate me. This occurred when a group of students decided to make a big deal about my ethnic background and dress because I did not relate to them. The event happened at recess. Every time I did not make a shot or pass the basketball right when the individual wanted, I would get criticized.
