Laws Protecting Children in Australia

Children are and have always been an integral part of our society, as without them the human race would have no future. However, until recently, there have not been laws regarding the treatment of children. The governments worldwide had not considered the needs of children, and societies mind was not inclined to view children with any rights. This view needed to change as the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights proclaimed that everyone was entitled to the rights stated in it. Children were not receiving those rights, so the UN gathered together to change the negative views of children.
