New England and Chesapeake Colonies
Summary: Describes the differences between the Chesapeake and New England American colonies. Examines the social, economic and political aspects of each group and details what factors led to the evolution of two distinct societies.
New England and Chesapeake colonies started their journey with a base inspiration of moving to a new world. Even though these people have come from the same background they discovered the dissimilarity throughout their steps of their life. The difference in development occurs because of the social, economic and political distinctions. The social condition of New England in north had organize families and they were very religious, on the other hand the Chesapeake colony in south was over filled with man and they were more aggressive for prosperity. Agriculture was the main sources for Chesapeake colony, and trading, fishing, creating boat was the major economic source for New England. The Chesapeake colony had a legislative government but New England government was based on the religion of its people.
