A Short Study of Human Nature
Summary: Examines human nature and attempts to make sense of the priorities of a life form. Questions the meaning of life and tries to define the essence of humanity.
Darwinian theory states that the priorities of a life form are preservation of self and preservation of species and that all other desires and goals are simply subsidies of these two main priorities. Humanity is unique in its capability to create an infrastructure that can fulfill the basic levels of these two priorities. With so little life experience I am not able to decide what particular quality of life is most important to myself, so instead I will try to see what my species values.
Friends are often our only allies in this modern world it seems. The idea of friends is, in fact, not limited to our species; however, our species takes the concept further than any other on this planet. Some species of monkey, for example, have been known to make friends with their companions so that they will have help when a fight breaks out...
